Tara Clapham is a senior at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) who will graduate this spring with a degree in civil engineering. Throughout her time at CSM, she has been involved with the Mining Competition Team and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Tara has also held positions at the campus bookstore and admissions office and has interned with both the Federal Highway Administration and Cushing Terrell. Her passion for transportation began during an internship in high school working with Kiewit on the I-70 underpass as part of the Central 70 Project. This experience led her to apply to CSM where her interest and passion for civil engineering has grown. After graduation, Tara plans to work with Felsburg Holt & Ullevig on roadway design and continue developing her skills in this area. In her free time, she loves to watch nature documentaries, ski, and bake, and she is extremely excited to see where this next phase of life takes her.
