Carl Green Jr.

Carl Green Jr. has served as the Civil Rights Director of the Denver metro area’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) since June 2022. Green leads the division comprised of the Americans with Disabilities Act Office, Small Business Opportunity Office, Equal Employment Opportunity Office and Transit Equity Office. He worked as RTD’s Transit Equity Manager from February 2021 to May 2022. Green joined RTD from Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet), where he served as Senior Administrator for Title VI and Equity Programs since July 2017. He began his public transportation career in January 2015 as an Operations and Data Analyst at TriMet.

Green retired as the Colorado Air National Guard’s Equal Opportunity Superintendent in June 2024. His collective military service (active duty and reservist) spans more than 20 years; throughout this tenure, Green has served in numerous capacities to include First Sergeant, Equal Opportunity Program Manager and Special Emphasis Program Manager.

Green holds a master of public administration degree from the University of Oregon and two bachelor of science degrees in psychology and communications from Southern Oregon University. He is a proud alumna of civic and military leadership programs, such as the Eno Center for Transportation’s Mid-Manager Program, the Mineta Transportation Institute Leadership Academy and the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. He is also active with COMTO Colorado and WTS Colorado chapters. 

When he’s not working, Green enjoys the great outdoors, running, hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
