Megan Quinn is a graduate student pursuing a Master’s of Structural Engineering at University of Colorado Boulder. Megan is currently researching embodied carbon and embodied energy analysis of the built environment to aid in embodied emission reductions in CU’s Living Materials Laboratory. She loves contributing to research and cultivating new ideas, especially focusing on sustainability and improvements to modern infrastructure. Having worked for KL&A Engineers and Builders and Foothills Bridge Co, two Colorado based structural engineering firms, her passion for infrastructure has grown.
Megan is very interested in bridge design and optimization under natural hazards and extreme events that have been influenced through her work at Foothills and in her research. Megan is excited to complete her Master’s degree in the upcoming spring, and is very appreciative of WTS Colorado’s support in her academic pursuits and future career. She hopes to make an impactful contribution to the world of transportation infrastructure as a structural engineer.
