Emma is a civil engineering student at Colorado State University with a strong interest in transportation infrastructure, public safety, and sustainable design.
Emma is a civil engineering student at Colorado State University with a strong interest in transportation infrastructure, public safety, and sustainable design. She is particularly drawn to the ways roads and bridges shape daily life, influencing access, mobility, and community safety. She is also pursuing a minor in Environmental Engineering, which informs her approach to creating resilient and environmentally responsible infrastructure.
At CSU, Emma is actively involved in the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers, holding leadership roles focused on diversity, equity, and member engagement. She has participated in events such as planning Introduce a Girl to Engineering and was also a member of CSU’s Steel Bridge Competition team, gaining hands-on experience applying structural concepts to real-world challenges.
Emma’s perspective on infrastructure has been shaped by both local and global experiences, including a study abroad program in London. She plans to pursue a career in civil engineering focused on designing safer, more equitable, and sustainable transportation systems.
