Zoë is studying Civil Engineering with a minor in Engineering for Community Development and pursing an interdisciplinary master’s degree in Civil and Humanitarian Engineering. Before transferring to Mines, she graduated from Cabrillo College, a community college in Santa Cruz, CA, where she earned six degrees as part of the honors program and was deeply involved in campus activities. At Cabrillo, she served as president of the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Club, co-president and delegate of the Engineering Abroad Program, engineering department teaching assistant, STEM tutor, girls in engineering camps instructor, swim team captain, and water polo team member.

At Mines, Zoë helped establish and now serves as president of the Transfer Student Association. She is an active member of the American Society for Civil Engineers, Mines Without Borders, and the Society of Women Engineers. As a Mines Undergraduate Research Fellow, Zoë is analyzing the use of mine tailings as construction materials. Her passion for developing infrastructure in underserved communities stems from her gap year in Asia, where she built and installed water filters in rural villages. Zoë aspires to create sustainable infrastructure systems that improve lives worldwide.
